Nothing Phone (4) Concept

Jul 16, 2026 — Gibson

I took some things Nothing has never done before and put them into a new Phone (4) series flagship. Yes, it's a series.

Presenting Nothing Phone (4) and Phone (4xl).

A pair of two flagships. One small with a 6.3" display. One large with a 6.83" display. The smallest phone Nothing has ever made, paired with one of the largest. They share the same specs (except battery and size).

They feature a sleek, three-camera design with a camera bar containing two cameras, 5 Glyph Stripes (a simpler glyph interface this time), and the recording indicator, as well as a third camera separate from the bar.

The phones come in White, Black, and Goldenrod on both sizes. They have a sleek build with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back. It has symmetric, thin bezels. The Phone (4) has a ≈71 × 148 × 8.1 mm · 197 g body and the Phone (4xl) has a ≈77 × 163 × 8.2 mm · 228 g body.

Both phones have a LTPO AMOLED, with 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, 12-bit color, and ~3000 nits peak brightness, and have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The phones are full flagships with the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 chip and 256GB / 512GB / 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, along with 12GB (on 256GB/512GB) or 16GB (on 512GB/1TB) of LPDDR5X high-speed RAM. It runs Nothing OS 5.0 and has 5 years of NOS major updates and 7 years of security patches. You get Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, one SIM + one E-SIM with Dual-SIM, and USB-C 3.2. The phone has IP68 & IP69 ratings, an aluminum midframe, and stereo speakers.

There is a silicon-carbon battery on both phones, with a 5000 mAh battery on the Phone (4) and a 5900 mAh battery on the Phone (4xl), with 65W wired charging, 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging.

Both phones have a 50MP main camera (Samsung ISOCELL GNK), 64MP 3x telephoto camera (OMNIVISION OV64B), and 50MP ultrawide camera (Samsung ISOCELL JN5).

First small Nothing phone. First Dimensity in a Nothing flagship. Minimal glyphs, full Nothing design. Glyph Stripes: The extension of the Glyph Bar, but taller to fit more LEDs in each bar segment, so it can show new things, like an audio visualizer. No matrix. Just minimalism in a power-forward body.

This phone is intended to be an early 2027 Nothing flagship - NOS 5.0 and the Dimensity 9600 chip aren't out yet.

Full throttle, twice.
